Now architectural powerhouse Skidmore Owings Merrill is donating its talents to Andersonville.
In a major boost for a proposed Andersonville park, Skidmore Owings Merrill has agreed to donate its services as part of a community-wide process to design a new park on the site of the abandoned Edgewater Medical Center.
According to Angel Ysaguirre, a member of the Friends of West Edgewater Park overseeing the design process, a detailed community input process has been established with Skidmore Owings Merrill to assist in the design of the park. ”We’re going to do two community-wide meetings and a design charrette,” said Ysaguirre.
