Alderman O’Connor’s Public Meeting to Discuss a Proposal for EMC Site

A park would be asinine. We will have a new Metra stop a few blocks away in a couple of years. I do not think Alderman O’Connor understands. or appreciates the potentialities of TOD and density. Hell he and Silverstein have done a hell of a job in redeveloping Western Ave north of Peterson. Losing a once in a generation opportunity to transform single use parcels into a place instead we get auto-centric garbage non-place.
Bring the density bring the residents bring the $. From that flows commerce. No subsidized housing we already have enough. And while we are at it can we get appropriately dense development. at the old Carson’s, and tear down and build up the atrocious ghetto White Castle. I saw a guy get killed there a long time ago.
